We've been in our house a little over a year. And ever since we moved in, we've despised the fence. Someone, at some point, decided it would be a good idea to paint it burgundy.
Once we finished our patio, this is what we looked out to see.
Yuck Yuck Yuck!
Close up of the Yuck.
We thought about sanding or even replacing the fence entirely. Or, just wait another 10 years for mother nature to slowly remove the paint?
I feel a little guilty posting this. It wasn't my idea and I did none of the work. But hey, it's my fence too!
Enter the husband and a power washer.
Voila!
Please excuse the landscaping, or lack thereof.
I'm amazed at the difference it made. It's almost new again. Now, we just need to seal it.
This did take about 5 hours total. But, completely worth it...if you ask me :)
We borrowed the power washer from my father-in-law. So technically, this project was free! Unless you want to count all the water we used?

Easy and relatively inexpensive and a tremendous improvement. Great combination!!
WOW, Jenn! This is incredible! You're hubby did a wonderful job -- I'm wondering if this would work on painted siding????
